Load Transfer Efficiency Assessment of Concrete Pavement Joints Using Distributed Optical Vibration Sensor

This paper presents a method to assess the load transfer efficiency (LTE) of concrete pavement joints using distributed optical vibration sensors. First, theoretical analysis was conducted investigate how reflect LTE by spectral amplitude. Second, sensor (DOVS) applied measure around distributedly. Third, corresponding processing for DOVS data proposed calculate ratio amplitude from different slabs through power density (PSD) analysis. Then, field tests were on nine with three types (dummy joint, rabbet and dowel bars). The deflection-based as well vibration-based employed eleven two dates. comparative results indicate (DLTE) PSD (RPSD) have strong correlation (0.871) slight difference (<±0.03) overall. is robust in dates (0.844~0.88). These findings prove accuracy effectiveness method.
